It was on September 15, 2018, that we started this walking journey through the literature of Fernando Pessoa.

Fernando Pessoa ‘s Lisbon – more than a walking tour

A literary tour that begins at the reception of the Lisboa Pessoa Hotel, passes through Largo do Carmo, Baixa and ends at Praça do Comércio, more specifically at Café Martinho da Arcada.

Along the way, the curiosity of the visitor and guest of the Lisboa Pessoa Hotel is encouraged by Fabrizio Boscaglia, an academic from Pessoa.

A 1h30 literary trip that will be available to guests every Friday from October 28 at 11:30 am.

Largo do Carmo

In this Largo, 18-20, 1st, Fernando Pessoa lived, possibly as early as the end of 1910 and 1911, in a rented room.

Largo de São Carlos

Here Fernando Pessoa was born, on June 13, 1888, at n.º 4, 4.º left. This building is located in front of the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Lisbon’s main Opera House, which was inaugurated in 1793 by Queen D. Maria I.
